New ordinance: City of Cochran utility services Policy

If customer’s utility services are cut-off due 

to non-payment then the customer must pay

by CASH or MONEY ORDER to be turned back on.

The first (1) time utility service customer is on the cut off list for

non-payment the entire past due amount plus $25.00 administrative fee must be paid by the customer.

The second (2) and third (3) time utility service customer is on the cut off list for non-payment within the twelve (12) month period will require the entire past due amount plus $50.00 administrative fee. The fourth (4) time the utility service customer is on the cut off list within a twelve (12) month period will require payment of the past due amount plus a $75.00 administrative fee and may at the city’s discretion require an additional deposit. 

The first (1) time a water meter is damaged by a customer it will be at no cost to the customer to replace. The second (2) and any additional times a water meter is damaged by the customer, the customer will be responsible for the cost of replacement of the damaged water meter.

PAYMENT AGREEMENTS WILL NOT BE APPROVED AFTER THE 10^TH OF EACH MONTH NOR WILL PAYMENT ARRANGEMENTS OR EXTENSIONS OF ANY KIND BE MADE ON THE DAY BEFORE CUT OFF OR THE DAY OF CUT OFF!
