History

The history of the City of Cochran at diffferent stages of its evolution  is chronicled in the additional publications listed below.  All of these references are currently out-of-print.  Hard copies of these references can be found in the archive room of the Tessie W. Norris Cochran-Bleckley Library.  Some of the books may be available through on-line book vendors or the book's author.

The Cochran Community.  Bernadette Kuehn Loftin. 1999.  Uchee Trail Publishers, Macon, Georgia.  Available in the Tessie W. Norris Cochran-Bleckley Library. This book is the most definitive work available for the Cochran community.
